April 2020 Calendar of Events

Maryland C-PACE is excited to announce the many virtual clean energy events taking place throughout the state of Maryland this month! While these events are not being put on by MD-PACE, they are great events to register for if you are a clean energy enthusiast.

4/4 ULI’s Economics of COVID-19

The first virtual event occurring this month is a webinar hosted by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) on the 14th. The live, online event, “Economics of COVID-19 – How small-scale, entrepreneurial (‘Main Street’) CRE/MF owners are navigating the crisis with their tenants” will seek to answer many questions that property owners have surrounding the current climate of uncertainty caused by COVID-19 legislation.

4/20 USGBC’s Getting to LEED Zero Energy and LEED Zero Carbon

The next event is on Tuesday the 20th between 1:00 and 5:00 EST, and is a webinar hosted by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) entitled “Getting to LEED Zero Energy and LEED Zero Carbon”. This online workshop is intended for owners of LEED certified properties, or wish to get their buildings certified.

4/21 Better Buildings Webinar Series Pt. 1

Better Buildings is hosting part one of a two-part webinar series, “Finance + Resilience Initiative”. Between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Part one is entitled, “Building the Financial Business Case for Resilience”, and will focus on how commercial building owners can increase liquidity and property value through efficiency upgrades.

4/21- 4/23 USGBC’s LEED and Existing Buildings

The second event is by USGBC and will begin on the 21st to go through the 23rd: it is called “LEED and Existing Buildings” and is intended to explain the certification process for LEED v 4.1 O+M and provide resources for achieving it. This webinar will be identical each day.

5/1/ USGBC’s First Friday Webinar Series: LEED Performance at the Alliance Center

The first event of May is part of the First Friday Webinar series hosted by the US Green Building’s Council on May 1st between 12:15 and 1:30 PM EST. This event, entitled “LEED Performance at The Alliance Center”, will provide a comprehensive look at The Alliance Center in Denver, Colorado as a case study on LEED certification.

5/20 ULI’s Spring 2002 Real Estate Economic Forecast

The webinar, held between 1:00 and 2:00 PM EST, is the “Spring 2020 Real Estate Economic Forecast”, and will give important insight into the indicators of property estate value and trends over the next several years. The expert panel consists of Stuart Hoffman, SVP and Senior Economic Advisor, PNC Financial Services Group; Suzanne Mulvee, Senior Vice President Research and Strategy, GID Real Estate Investments; and Tim Wang, Managing Director and Head of Investment Research, Clarion Partners.
