Participating Localities
All participating MDPACE counties have been sent the new MDPACE Program Guide, along with updates for all the program documents, to reflect legislative and programmatic changes.
Counties can continue to process and approve transactions under the existing MDPACE Program Guidelines, until updated ordinances have been adopted. Please contact the Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC) if there are any questions regarding MDPACE 2.0.
Please refer to the County matrix to see specific County requirements.
Abacus Property Solutions, the MDPACE program administrator for MCEC, has created a new MDPACE Program Guide, along with updates for all the program documents, to reflect legislative and programmatic changes. Collectively, the new documents are referred to as the County Update Package. Once a participating county has executed an amended agreement with MCEC and has adopted an amended ordinance, a county will be up to date with participation in MDPACE 2.0. Counties must also approve the amended Statement of Levy and Lien (SLL) or an equivalent document that is recorded in conjunction with an MDPACE transaction. To date, most participating counties are reviewing the new documentation, and some have scheduled hearings for passage of the amended ordinance.
Because C-PACE is enabled at the local level, counties must choose to opt-in to the MDPACE Program.
The Montgomery County C-PACE Program and Prince George’s County C-PACE Program are administered independently, and can be contacted directly for more information about their respective programs.
